Thank you for your interest in reserving a seat to the next Passion House Concert! I'm thrilled you're here. Before you click the Paypal button below, please read the following description of house concert etiquette.
A house concert is a little different than a typical party. While house concerts are certainly relaxed, convivial, and often involve food or snacks just like parties, a reservation to a house concert is slightly more binding than an RSVP to a party. I have limited seating available (35 maximum), and thus your presence, or your unexpected absence, makes a real difference.
House concerts involve some financial risk for both myself and the artist. I keep no revenue, but I do cover the difference if we come up short of the artist's minimum fee. The artist meanwhile has decided to eschew larger and better-known venues for the opportunity to play for a truly attentive audience and receive 100% of the income for the event. (Most venues take a significant cut of ticket revenue, meaning that a house concert may actually generate more income than a larger audience at a local venue.)
Thus, when reserving a seat at a house concert, the best etiquette is to decide ahead of time whether you plan to go, and then if you do reserve a seat, make every effort to follow through by attending. And while I am always happy to accept walk-up audience members the night of the show if space is available, please understand that the requested donation will be a little higher.
You can reserve a seat by making a non-refundable (unless the artist cancels) donation to the artist. In return, that artist commits to an evening of fantastic music!
To reserve your seat, click the Paypal button below! (It's the same as the one on the concert page. Either button will reserve you a seat.) Unless I am traveling, you will receive a confirmation from me within 24 hours of your donation. :-) If you have any questions, contact me at matthewseneca @ gmail.com
